Milan put player on the market, Newcastle interested

AC Milan winger Fabio Borini is on the market with Newcastle interested in bringing him back to England.

In two weeks UEFA should unveil the sanctions that the Rossoneri club must face for the breach of the Financial Fair Play. Thankfully AC Milan has been readmitted to Europa League, the management is optimist and according to the latest reports Milan should face a low fine of 5-7 million euros. That gives Leonardo plenty of room to move on the market.

The Brazilian sporting director is fully focused on the transfer market and is negotiating the signing of several players. However, Leo is also evaluating the possibility of a couple of sales in January. Except Bertolacci, Fabio Borini is the second most likely player to depart when the winter transfer window opens.

Tutto Mercato Web reports that the Italian 27 year old will likely return to England with Newcastle very interested in his services. The English club made an inquiry a few days ago and even though they didn’t made an official offer it became clear that Borini is up for sale.

Newcastle coach Rafa Benitez is a fan of Borini and has been keeping tabs on his situation. The game time of the left winger that has been used in almost every position has diminished in his second season at San Siro. He has rarely started from the first minute this season and has only one goal to his name.

AC Milan signed Fabio Borini from Sunderland for 6 million euros. Once regarded as one the brightest prospects of Italian football, Borini failed to replicate the great performances of his Roma days. Borini has also played for Chelsea, Swansea, Parma and Liverpool.
