AC Milan close to signing Tanguy Kouassi for free

AC Milan are close to completing the signing of Paris Saint-Germain defender Tanguy Kouassi on a free transfer according to reports from France.

Positive news coming from France. According to le10sport.com, AC Milan are close to completing the signing of Tanguy Kouassi. The 17-year-old French centre back has refused the latest renewal offer from PSG and can join Milan on a free transfer.

Signing a player like Kouassi for free would be a huge hit for the Rossoneri. The PSG defender is one of the most promising talents in Europe. Kouassi  has been compared to to Napoli defender Kalidou Koulibaly for his physique and characteristics.

Until now, Red Bull Leipzig were seen as the front runners for the PSG centre back but AC Milan have recently speed up their interest and have been working underground with the player’s agent for a while.

If the young French defender will continue to snub PSG’s renewal attempts until the summer then AC Milan will be his next destination for the new season. Tanguy Kouassi made a strong impression with PSG this year. He made 13 appearances with the Ligue 1 champions finding the back of the net on three occasions despite being a defender.

The Rossoneri are reportedly trying to start a new project with the help of Ralf Rangnick. Just like in the previous seasons, signing young players with great room for improvement remains at the center of the club’s transfer policy.
