Roma inquire about AC Milan midfielder

Tiemoue Bakayoko has become a crucial element for AC Milan and his recent good performances have not gone unnoticed in Italy.

Until a few weeks ago the name of Tiemoue Bakayoko represented a sort of enigma within the AC Milan squad. Some totally underwhelming performances at the beginning of the season were to blame. Plus, Gennaro Gattuso’s excessive criticism was not helpful.

Following a few technical improvements the former Chelsea is considered, at least for the moment, a decisive element at Casa Milan, mainly due to the many absences in the midfield department.

Now Bakayoko enjoys greater esteem from the Rossoneri environment, given that even his performances have undergone a drastic transformation. In partnership with Kessie, Bakayoko has formed a dam in the middle of the pitch. However, AC Milan are still not convinced that he is worth a 35 million euros investment (read here).

Too much for the Rossoneri’s coffers, despite the importance of the French midfielder at this moment. Serie A rivals Roma are trying to take advantage of the situation. The Italian capital squad is on the market for a new central midfielder. According to reports by Il Tempo, Roma inquired about Bakayoko during the summer but in the end decided to buy Steve Nzonzi of Sevilla.

Monchi is again considering the signing of Bakayoko for January but this time this situation is even more complicated. AC Milan do not intend to deprive themselves of Bakayoko and aim to keep him at least until June. Roma must attempt a three-way negotiation in order to convince both Chelsea and Milan to let go of the player. Almost impossible unless Leonardo finds another low-cost midfielder on the market that can be considered more useful and suitable to the game of Mr. Gattuso than the former Chelsea.
