Tuttosport: AC Milan in talks with Arturo Vidal

AC Milan are set to battle Inter for the services of 30 year old Bayern Munich midfielder Arturo Vidal who wants to return to Italy.

Tuttosport reports today about contracts between Arturo Vidal and AC Milan. The 30 year old classy midfielder is very tied to Italy, where he played from 2011 to 2015 with the Juventus shirt winning four consecutive championships. Currently he is a regular starter of Bayern Munich, another club of the highest technical and economic quality but still Vidal has great nostalgia for Italy.

The Torino-based newspaper talks about the will of Bayern to do a sort of general clean-up in the summer and start a new technical project based on young talents. In midfield, for example, coach Heynckes will bet everything on players like Tolisso, Thiago, Rudy, Kimmich and the new arrival Goretzka. Therefore Vidal should be among the luxury sacrifices of next summer transfer window and the two sport directors Massimiliano Mirabelli and Piero Ausilio (Inter) have already made contact to evaluate his possible purchase.

A difficult and expensive operation that could be facilitated by the Champions League qualification of the two Milanese teams: UEFA’s revenues could help the Rossoneri make an important investment on Vidal, tactically the perfect midfielder for the game of Gennaro Gattuso and a great mentor for Kessie. Without Champions League Inter can not afford the signing of the Chilean 30 year old. One more reason to win the derby on Sunday.
