Tuttosport: Milan next signing in midfield, two options

After the mega-deal with Juventus AC Milan are now back on the transfer market but this time in search of a top central midfielder.

It does not end here. After strengthening the attack with the purchase of a great bomber like Higuain and securing the defense for many years to come with Caldara’s arriving, the new technical director Leonardo intends to gift coach Gattuso also a quality midfielder. The Rossoneri fans – writes Tuttosport this morning – can continue to dream.

Thanks to expected sales (Kalinic and Bacca above all), AC Milan can create a treasure that will be reinvested in the purchase of a central midfielder of quality and experience. Leonardo has two paths ahead of him: one (expensive) leads to him Paris, or rather, to Rabiot, the 23-year-old talent of Paris Saint-Germain. The French side are demanding a salty fee for Rabiot, despite the player having a contract expiring in 2019. However the Rossoneri have the money to finance an eventual operation.

The other track, however, leads to Spain, to be precise in capital Madrid. In the last hours, the name of Mateo Kovacic – already linked with the Red and Blacks in the past – has returned to fashion at San Siro. According to rumors, the Croatian 24 year old midfielder is a profile that Leonardo and coach Gattuso appreciate a lot.
