Yonghong Li’s plans for the summer transfer window

It is a tough moment at AC Milan with the club excluded from Europe but more difficult times may follow if Yonghong Li remains at the helm of the Rossoneri.

UEFA banned AC Milan from Europa League for one season but the governing body of European football did not fine the club for failing to comply with the Financial Fair Play regulation and therefore this is good news for the summer transfer market. However the same can not be said regarding the intentions of president Yonghong Li.

According to La Gazzetta dello Sport, in fact, the Rossoneri owner is currently concentrated only on the negotiation of the sale of the club and has no intention of putting his hand to the wallet for the summer window regardless of what CAS will decide. Therefore, without the arrival of a new owner, the budget available for the sporting director Mirabelli could be very limited, hardly exceeding the 50 million euros.
