Milan legend: “Milan need only one thing to return on top”
AC Milan former player Zvonimir Boban talks about the revitalized Rossoneri team and praises new management.
Former Rossoneri legend Zvonimir Boban was recently interviewed by Radio Anch’Io lo Sport. The current Deputy Secretary General of FIFA commented on his former team and the use of VAR in Italian football.
Referring to the new season Boban said: “I believe there are eras in football and I hope AC Milan will get back on track very soon. Leonardo and Paolo Maldini are working a lot and with a lot of quality. Results will arrive soon. AC Milan need only one thing: patience. The team is doing pretty well because with Higuain things would go well for any team“.
“VAR? I think Serie A is the best one for its use. VAR is not meant to be perfect and there will always be controversies because this is football, I’m sorry for that but it’s the truth. There will always be mistakes too because as I said VAR is not perfect and even an extraordinary mean like VAR can’t pick up every little mistake. VAR is improving football, the behavior of players has improved, especially when they are in the area“.
Zvonimir Boban played for 9 seasons at San Siro. The Croatian attacking midfielder made 255 appearances with the Red and Blacks scoring 31 goals. Boban was part of the glorious Milan that dominated Italian football in the 90s.
