Bologna vs Milan, probable lineups

AC Milan need to bounce back with a win against Bologna today after two consecutive defeats.

Today, at 15:00 CET, AC Milan will challenge Sinisa Mihajlovic’s Bologna at the Stadio Dall’Ara. In the first leg, the match ended 2-0 in favor of the Rossoneri, who came out victorious thanks to a brace from Ibrahimovic.

For Bologna vs Milan, Pioli will have back in his squad Mario Mandzukic and Sandro Tonali. Another important return is that of Ismael Bennacer, key man of the Rossoneri midfield, who is back in the squad after 50 days of absence.

In front of the usual Gigio Donnarumma will play Calabria, Romagnoli and Theo Hernandez. The quartet will be composed by new arrival Fikayo Tomori, who will replace the injured Simon Kjaer. The Denmark captain is still battling with a leg injury. Thus the Englishman will make his first minute debut with the Rossoneri.

The starting duo in midfield will be Sandro Tonali and Franck Kessie. Ismael Bennacer will likely be seen in the second half. For the attacking midfielder role Pioli will make a drastic change. Hakan Calhangolu has been left out of the squad despite resulting negative in the last Covid test, while Brahim Diaz is injured. The Italian coach tried Daniel Maldini in that position but in the end he has chosen Rafael Leao.

The Portuguese striker will have to be adapted in that role. Alexis Saelemaekers and Ante Rebic will play on the wings in support of Zlatan Ibrahimovic.

BOLOGNA (4-2-3-1): Skorupski, Tomiyasu, Danilo, SAumaoro, Dijks, Schouten, Dominguez, Orsolini, Soriano, Sansone, Barrow.

AC MILAN (4-2-3-1): G. Donnarumma; Calabria, Tomori, Romagnoli, Theo Hernandez; Tonali, Kessie; Saelemaekers, Rafael Leao, Rebic; Ibrahimovic.
