Milan vs Udinese, probable lineups – static midfield duo returns

AC Milan need to bounce back with a win against Udinese after the fiasco with Salernitana. Pioli will not have Bennacer and Ibra available.

AC Milan vs Udinese will be the opening match of Serie A’s week 27. The Rossoneri need to bounce back after the terrible performance against Salernitana that nearly caused a defeat. Udinese has always been a traditionally difficult match for AC Milan and in the first leg Pioli’s side were unable to go beyond a draw.

The Italian coach will not have Ismael Bennacer and Zlatan Ibrahimovic available for Milan vs Udinese. There will be no changes in defence. Fikayo Tomori and Alessio Romagnoli will form the central duo with Davide Calabria and Theo Hernandez completing the back line. Mike Maignan, who needs to redeem himself, will protect the goal.

The suspension of Bennacer offers Franck Kessie the chance to return from the first minute after two games on the bench. The Ivorian central midfielder will play alongside Sandro Tonali. The Italian star was one of the low notes against Salernitana as well.

Stefano Pioli has the usual doubt on the right wing with Junior Messias and Alexis Saelemaekers. However, the Brazilian winger scored in the last match so he is in advantage to start against Udinese. Brahim Diaz and Rafael Leao complete the trio in support of Olivier Giroud.

Once again the French star is tasked to lead the AC Milan attack. The situation of Marko Lazetic is not yet clear. The Serbian striker returned to train with the rest of the group yesterday but the coach has not yet decided whether he’ll be available against Udinese.

AC MILAN (4-2-3-1): Maignan; Calabria, Tomori, Romagnoli, Theo Hernandez; Kessie, Tonali; Messias, Brahim Diaz, Leao; Giroud.

UDINESE (3-5-2): Silvestri, Becao, Perez, Pablo Mari, Molina, Walace, Makengo, Arslan, Udogie, Deulofeu, Beto.
