Pioli makes 5 changes for Sassuolo vs Milan
Coach Stefano Pioli is set to make five formation changes against Sassuolo. Simon Kjaer returns in the starting lineup.
AC Milan will be back on the pitch tomorrow at 18:30 CET. The Rossoneri squad will travel to Sassuolo for the opening match of Serie A week four. Traditionally, Sassuolo vs Milan have been a difficult match for Stefano Pioli’s squad who aim to continue the positive streak of results.
Coach Stefano Pioli is planning a formation revolution for Sassuolo vs Milan making room for several players who have featured rarely so far. Simon Kjaer will return at the heart of the defence after so many months out. The Danish captain will partner with Fikayo Tomori while Florenzi and Theo Hernandez are set to complete the back line.
Important changes even in midfield. Tommaso Pobega will finally make his first minute debut. Pobega will take Sandro Tonali’s spot in the starting eleven alongside Ismael Bennacer. The Algerian international has excelled so far in the opening matches of the new season.
After the fine performance against Bologna, Charles De Ketelaere is set to return for the bench for Sassuolo vs Milan. Coach Stefano Pioli is obviously pleased with his performance but wants to keep the Belgian attacking midfielder fresh for the upcoming derby against Inter.
Brahim Diaz will start from the first minute with Rafael Leao and Alexis Saelemaekers on the wings in support of Olivier Giroud. First minute debut also for Saelemaekers who has been overtaken by Messias in the wing hierarchy. Divock Origi was supposed to lead the attack against Sassuolo but the former Liverpool has suffered an injury and will be absent just like Ante Rebic.
