AC Milan close the signing of Dutch forward

AC Milan and Villarreal have reached an agreement for the Dutch winger. Danjuma will take Rebic’s stop in club hierarchy.

UPDATE: AS reports that Everton have hijacked AC Milan’s move for Arnaut Danjuma.

AC Milan will revamp their attack attack for next season. Zlatan Ibrahimovic has said farewell to football while Divock Origi and Ante Rebic are expected to leave pretty soon. Olivier Giroud will be the only familiar face from the past. A new centre forward will arrive this summer while Rebic’s role will likely be filled by Arnaut Danjuma.

AC Milan are closing the signing of Danjuma from Villarreal according to reports from Spain. The 26-year-old Dutch forward can occupy every role in attack. He is primarily a winger but he can easily play as centre forward. Danjuma will join AC Milan on loan for a fee of around €3 million with the option to make the transfer permanent reports Relevo.

Villarreal would prefer to insert the obligation to buy but that will not be the case. Arnaut Danjuma had a fantastic first season in Spain. The Dutch forward played a key role in Villarreal reaching the Champions League semi-final and ended the season with 16 goals and 4 assists but his contribution on the pitch was much bigger than the numbers suggest.

However, the last year was a deeply underwhelming one for Danjuma. Arnaut started the season at Villarreal and moved to Tottenham in January. His Premier League return was a disaster and the 26-year-old played a total of 162 minutes. Nevertheless, AC Milan are confident that Danjuma can bounce back and serve as an important jolly in attack.

It looks like the AC Milan has been in the destiny of Arnaut. In fact, Danjuma was very close to joining the Rossoneri in 2019 but he ended up moving to Bournemouth. The business between AC Milan and Villarreal is set to stop with only this transfer. There is no agreement for Samuel Chukwueze as Villarreal stand firm on their €35 million evaluation.
