AC Milan favorites to sign Milinkovic-Savic

It seems that Milinkovic-Savic will remain at Lazio but AC Milan are still considered the favorite club to land his services.

Perhaps there is still hope for AC Milan to sign Sergej Milinkovic-Savic. According to Sportmediaset, in fact, Claudio Lotito would have updated the deadline within which he could sell the Serbian football player. The deadline, now, is the end of the Italian summer transfer window. Lazio accepts only offers of 120 million euros for the Serbian.

Sportmediaset reports that AC Milan are the club closest to the 23 year old midfielder, due to their initial offer close to demands of president Lotito. Technical director Leonardo offered 40 million for the player’s loan and around 80 million for the right to buy, a figure that should have been lowered by the inclusion of Borini or Bonaventura as technical counterparts.

The offer was rejected, but it can not be excluded that Lotito can still change his mind. The only other team interested in Milinkovic-Savic is Real Madrid, however, the Spanish giants do not intend to make a bid unless Luka Modric departs this summer. An operation that seems highly unlikely.
