AC Milan in advanced negotiations with Benzema
Real Madrid star Karim Benzema is the new name AC Milan are considering for the attack. The centre forward has given his approval to this transfer.
Transfer market expert Gianluca Di Marzio reports for Sky Sports that AC Milan has initiated contacts a few days ago with Karim Benzema. The Rossoneri are trying to lure the French striker away from Real Madrid. Last Monday, in fact, Ludovic Fattizzo (intermediary of this operation) and the player’s representatives visited Milanello to meet with Mirabelli and Gennaro Gattuso, apparently the main architect of this negotiation.
The 30 year old centre forward has had a conversation with the Rossoneri coach and has offered his full availability to wear the Red and Black jersey for next season. The Los Blancos star currently ears 9 million euros per season and is demanding a 4 year contract from AC Milan, his current deal with Real Madrid expires in 2021.
Benzema had agreed to join Milan even before the readmission of the club in Europa League. His relationship with president Florentino Perez is basically almost like father and son so if Frenchman is convinced to start a new adventure away from Spain it would be no problem to close a deal with Real Madrid who are already in search of a new striker.
