AC Milan outcast transfers to Brazil: the details

AC Milan defender Gustavo Gomez has closed a transfer to Brazil. The Paraguayan centre back leaves the Rossoneri after two disappointing seasons. 

Gustavo Gomez is about to leave AC Milan after two seasons. The 25 year old has practically closed a transfer to Palmeiras reports ABC Cardinal Radio. The Paraguayan was subject of interest from Boca Juniors for a long time but the Argentine giants failed to reach an agreement with AC Milan.

In recent weeks several Italian clubs were interested in his services with Cagliari very close to a loan deal but Palmeiras offered has changed everything in the last minutes. Gomez moves to Palmeiras on loan (1,5 million) with the obligation to make the move permanent at the end of the season for 5 million euros. He is expected to travel to Brazil tomorrow to undergo medical tests.

The Rossoneri signed the centre back in 2016 for 8,5 million euros and during his two seasons at San Siro Gomez made 21 appearances. The 25 year old featured only once in Serie A this season with AC Milan desperate to offload him since January.
