AC Milan want Italy’s best dribbler, Sassuolo name price

AC Milan are challenging Napoli for Sassuolo starlet Jeremie Boga. The talented left winger is the best dribbler in Italy.

AC Milan have entered the race for Sassuolo flamboyant winger Jeremie Boga. The 23-year-old has been a revelation this season in Serie A. The former Chelsea starlet will surely be one of the protagonists of the upcoming transfer window.

Sportmediaset (via MilanLive.it) reports that the Rossoneri are challenging Napoli for the services of the talented left winger. Coach Gennaro Gattuso is likely to lose both Dries Mertens and Jose Callejon this summer so Napoli are working on substitutes. Boga is one of the many players on Napoli’s list of targets.

Jeremie Boga joined Sassuolo in 2018 for a transfer fee of 3 million euros and has been a regular starter ever since. Until the Serie A stop due to the Coronavirus outbreak, Boga had scored 8 goals and assisted 4 in 25 appearances. Important numbers that have certified his growth compared to last season, which ended with only 3 goals and one assist in 27 games. In addition, Boga has been the best dribbler in Italy this season, and 4th in Europe, with 106 successful dribbles.

Sassuolo value Boga no less than 20 million euros. A price that AC Milan and Napoli seem willing to pay in order to secure the services of one of the best emerging talents in Italy. Napoli are ahead in the race for Boga’s transfer given that the management at Casa Milan has yet to define its future strategies and it’s waiting for the arrival of Ralf Rangnick.

AC Milan must move fast to sign Boga in order to avoid dealing with the possible competition of Chelsea. The Premier League club has a buy-back option of €16 million for its former player. However, so far Chelsea have shown no interest in bringing him back to England leaving the path open for AC Milan and Napoli.
