AC Milan target Real Madrid midfielder

After concluding the mega deal with Juventus, the Rossoneri are now back on the market in search of a new central midfielder.

Adrien Rabiot of PSG is one the names being considered. The French talent has an expiring contract in one year and Leonardo has already started contacts but closing a deal is anything but simple. Although an economically viable operation AC Milan need to battle the interest of Barcelona and also the will of Paris Saint-Germain to renew Rabiot’s contract.

According to La Repubblica, AC Milan have now targeted Mateo Kovacic. Already in recent years the Croatian of Real Madrid had been linked with the Rossoneri but there has never been anything concrete. Leonardo would like to make an attempt for the former Inter player, who in recent years has been more of a substitute in Spain. He wants to play continuously and be at the center of a project. A possible return to Milano is tempting but even in this case negotiations are not easy.

The Spanish daily Marca has revealed that Manchester United have bid 60 million euros for Kovacic. A crazy offer, which certainly does not reflect the current value of the player. The Croatian however has not accepted the destination since he doesn’t want to work again with Jose Mourinho. Chelsea and Tottenham are also on his tracks.
