Leonardo completes second sale after Bonucci

Immediately after closing the transfer of Bonucci to Juventus, AC Milan technical director Leonardo has completed the sale of another defender.

The Italian adventure of Gustavo Gomez has practically ended. The Paraguayan defender leaves AC Milan to join Palmeiras after a long negotiation that risked failing in the same fashion of what happened with Boca Juniors in January. The defender is today in Brazil to undergo medical tests before signing the contract reports Sky Sport.

The 25 year old centre back moves to Palmeiras on loan for 1,5 million euros with the obligation to buy at the end of the season for another 4.5 million. The Rossoneri will earn a total of 6 millions from his sale while two years ago paid 8,5 million for his services.

Gustavo Gomez leaves AC Milan after two highly negative seasons and with few chances to really show his value. Last season Gomez made only one Serie A appearance, almost always following the Rossoneri form the stands. Now Leonardo will open negotiations to sign a new centre back.
