AC Milan’s earnings from Europa League

AC Milan’s European journey has come to an end so it is time to analyze the financial benefits of the Rossoneri from this competition.

According to the colleagues of Calcio & Finanza (Football & Finance), considering only the sports results and the San Siro’s tickets sale, the club of Via Aldo Rossi should have grossed about 14 million euros.

From UEFA, AC Milan should receive a figure close to 6 million divided as follows: 230 thousand euros for the preliminaries, 2.6 million for participation in the group stage, 1.92 million for the group results, 500 thousand euros as a bonus for qualification to the round of sixteenth, 750 thousand euros for having reached the second round.

The revenues from ticket sale, from the first game with Craiova to the last against Arsenal, have been quite profitable for the Rossoneri’s coffers: seven home games in Europa League have brought a total of 7.9 million euro. Only Milan vs Arsenal brought 2,8 million. Plus there is still the market pool, AC Milan should benefit about 3.7 million for participating in the group stage.
