Gattuso: “I don’t understand why they exist. Chievo? It’s a final”
Coach Gennaro Gattuso previewed the match against Chievo at Milanello: “It’s a tricky game, but we must win. I want an extra effort from the team”.
With the Emirates match that knocked the Rossoneri out of the Europa League now in the past, it’s time to focus on Serie A and the next important game against ChievoVerona at San Siro (Kick-off Sunday at 3 pm CET). The boss is asking the boys for an extra effort in what is an important game in the running for fourth place and a Champions League spot. On Saturday, it was time for Rino Gattuso to address the media at the regular pre-match press conference.
ARSENAL
“We always have to think about these two games against Arsenal as two games that will do us good. They will help us understand that we still need to improve, gain more experience. We have to take the pitch thinking that our goal is to play this kind of games again. Welbeck’s penalty? Everyone wants to win, it’s not his fault but who awarded the penalty made a wrong decision. CHIEVO
“We have to focus only on Chievo. We then have the international break and we have time to recharge our batteries and recover some players. The match against Chievo is like a final for us, we don’t have much time to prepare for it and it could be a really tricky game. Chievo don’t deserve to be so low in the table and the fact that they have never won at San Siro it’s something that worries me: we must do everything we can to win. The injured players? Davide Calabria and Ignazio Abate are still ruled out.
