Ancelotti reveals secret to comeback and AC Milan’s weakest link

It was almost the perfect start of the season for AC Milan but after leading the game for 67 minutes Napoli turn the game around at win 3-2 at the San Paolo stadium.

The former Rossoneri coach was thrilled to see his team complete a stunning comeback after going two goals down. AC Milan managed to hold the lead for more than one hour but in the end everything collapsed. At the end of the game Carlo Ancelotti talked to Dazn:

It was a great game, both teams played well even if I think we didn’t deserve to go two goals down. We showed some great commitment and an extraordinary personality. The crowd helped us a lot too. Sometimes we can switch to 4-4-2, these players have a lot of knowledge. It’s a paradox but we became more offensive when we found balance in midfield pressing Biglia. Mertens? He is a kind of attacking midfielder. He is very good with short combinations. We asked him to play a bit more on the left with Insigne playing wider”.

While Gattuso’s reaction was: “We controlled the match until the 55’. It’s acceptable to make a mistake but not to disappear from the pitch. After we conceded the first goal we stopped playing. It’s a pity because we really tried hard. Just like last season, our main defect is not being able to control the match. Higuain helps us to release our opponents’ pressure. We expect a lot from him but we need to assist him to score.”
