Arsenal propose Walcott to Milan

Arsenal outcast Theo Walcott has offered himself to AC Milan. The English international could be the perfect answer for the Rossoneri’s attacking problems.

Il Corriere dello Sport reports today that the player has offered himself to AC Milan. Now he awaits an answer from the Aldo Rossi club. In January he intends to go elsewhere to re-launch himself, having finished at the bottom of the Arsene Wenger hierarchies. Walcott is available for a loan transfer, with a promise to negotiate at the end of the season a permanent transfer. Everton and Southampton are also on his tracks but the player seems to prefer the Rossoneri.

Walcott can not play in Europa League because he has already played with Arsenal in that competition. But the 28 year old English has qualities that can be useful to Milan. Furthermore, his desire to win a place in the national team for the 2018 World Cup could represent an added value. Theo hopes to find a team where he can play continuously and express himself at the highest levels.

Marco Fassone and Massimiliano Mirabelli are evaluating this option. At the moment the top priority is the signing of a central midfielder however something must also be done in attack. A left winger could be very useful to Gattuso. The outcome of this negotiation will depend on the economic conditions of the operation. An inexpensive loan and the right to make the move permanent at the end of the season may be the right formula. While Walcott may be forced to make a sacrifice about his salary.

Walcott can play both on the right and left, so he is a very flexible player. He is quick and with his dribbling abilities he knows how to create numerical superiority. The 28 year old can also make a good contribution in terms of goals. He has scored 108 goals (and 78 assists) in 397 games with the Arsenal jersey. Perhaps he can be the right opportunity Milan were hopping for in January.
