Chelsea midfielder offered to AC Milan

Not only Higuain and Caldara. At the same time AC Milan technical director Leonardo is negotiating the signing of a new midfielder.

Tiemoué Bakayoko is one of the names that Leonardo is considering for the position of vice-Kessie this season. Chelsea signed him for 40 million euros last summer from Monaco but the France international failed to justify the big fee. Coach Maurizio Sarri has made it clear that the 23 year old is not part of his plans for the new season.

Calciomercato.com reveals that Bakayoko has been offered to AC Milan. The defensive midfielder is not Leonardo’s first choice however he remains a valid option for the midfield. Chelsea would prefer to sell immediately the player but so far no club is willing for offer the required 30-35 million to take him. A season-long loan remains the only valid alternative but his high salary is a problem.

In addition to Bakayoko, AC are also interested in Diadie Samassékou. The 22 year old Mali midfielder is the favorite candidate to join the Rossoneri also because of his expiring contract in one year. The technical director of Milan could sign the talented Red Bull Salzburg midfielder for a bargain fee of around 15 million euros. At normal times, Samassékou would cost at least twice this figure.
