AC Milan about to close signing of Brazilian winger

A deal that the old AC Milan management had already closed a few months ago it’s about to come to a successful end thanks to new director Leonardo.

According to Il Giornale, other sources confirm it too, AC Milan are again in contact with Bernard. The Brazilian 25 year old left winger that can also play as attacking midfielder was a target of former sporting director Massimiliano Mirabelli. The Italian had reached a deal after learning that Bernard would not sign a new contract with Shakhtar Donetsk. The Brazilian player is now a free agent as his agreement with the Ukrainian club expired on June 30 and has not yet decided which will be his next team despite many requests from all over Europe.

The player’s entourage were in negotiations with Porto and Everton but in these hours AC Milan are making a revamped approach. According to reports, the Rossoneri have offered the Brazilian ace a five-year contract of 3 million euros net per season even if his agents were demanding at least 4 million per year.

The agreement, however, would be very close and would be very suitable for everyone involved. Bernard must hurry to find a team to start his athletic preparation for the new season, Milan need a winger with his qualities to alternate with the starting duo Suso and Calhanoglu. Decisive is also the presence of Leonardo. In short, the premises are positive, the next few hours could be decisive for the arrival of Bernard at San Siro.
