Agent confirms Milan interest in Spanish starlet

The January transfer window is still months away but Leonardo is working to bring fine youngsters like Dinamo Zagreb starlet Dani Olmo at AC Milan.

A few days ago we reported that AC Milan are interested in signing Dinamo Zagreb starlet Dani Olmo. Rossoneri scouts were sent to follow the promising Spanish talent in last Saturday’s match between Nova Gorica and Dinamo Zagreb. The former La Masia talent impressed and was the match-winner thanks to a goal in the 49th minute.

Today, in an interview for Calciomercato, Olmo’s agent Juanma Lopez confirms the rumors: “I can confirm that AC Milan and other clubs are following Dani. There are several Italian clubs interested in him, as well as some in England and Spain“. In addition, Lopez also revealed that the Spaniard’s former club Barcelona are also trying to sign him back.

The 20 year old left winger transferred to Dinamo Zagreb as part of the swap deal that saw Barcelona sign Alen Halilovic. Dani Olmo was at Barcelona’s La Masia academy until 2015 and has represented Spain up to the Under 18 level. Olmo has a contract until 2021 with the Croatian club but has a very affordable price tag for Milan.

So far he has made made 49 appearances for the Croatian giants and has scored 9 goals. When asked about him Dinamo Zagreb president Zdravko Mamić declared: “He’s a fantastic talent. He is better than Zvonimir Boban and Robert Prosinecki at the same age“.
