Depay top target: the plan to sign him

Lyon’s left winger Memphis Depay tops the list of Massimiliano Mirabelli’s targets for the next summer transfer window and AC Milan already have a plan to get to him.

The sanctions that UEFA will impose on the Settlement Agreement (next week the final ruling) will not stop AC Milan on the market. The Rossoneri are willing to make at least three purchases to raise the technical level of the squad. No revolution, therefore, but a series of strictly quality adjustments.

Tuttosport reports today that, even more than a striker, the profile that most excites the interest of AC Milan sports director, Massimiliano Mirabelli, is that of Memphis Depay, left winger of Lyon. With nineteen goals and seventeen assists this season between Ligue 1 and Europa League, the young Dutchman is a complete player, fast and skilled in dribbling. In short, the ideal pawn in the 4-3-3 of Rino Gattuso. The OL paid around 24 million euros to snatch him from Manchester United and would like to sell him at least for twice that amount. Mirabelli knows it and for months now has been working secretly.

To get to Depay the club will need a little treasure. How? Obviously selling players who are not considers as important for the future (without forgetting the farewell of a big, Donnarumma, Suso or even Jack). Andre Silva could end up at Wolverhampton, while the future of Kalinic could be in Bundesliga or Russia, where many clubs can guarantee the 25 million paid to Fiorentina.

More complicated instead is the sale of Carlos Bacca, currently on loan with the right to boy at Villarreal. The Spanish club have asked for a discount, but AC Milan does not seem willing to grant it. Finally, millions more will come from the sales of Bertolacci and Gustavo Gomez (15-20 million).
