Di Marzio: Inter make approach for AC Milan star

After a failed attempt in January, Inter coach Antonio Conte has made a new approach for AC Milan midfielder Franck Kessie.

Franck Kessie was a transfer target of Inter in January and coach Antonio Conte doesn’t seem to have given up on the Ivorian midfielder of AC Milan.

Conte is still in search of a physical midfielder and, with no progress being made for Arturo Vidal, the Italian has turned his attention again on the central midfielder of the Rossoneri reports transfer market expert Gianluca Di Marzio.

The 23-year-old midfielder has been a key figure at San Siro even under Stefano Pioli. Kessie has made 30 appearances this season scoring one goal. Since the Serie A resumption his performances have improved a lot and, while his sale was certain until a few months ago, things seem to have changed.

Last summer the two clubs discussed the possibility of a swap deal between Franck Kessie and Roberto Gagliardini. Nevertheless, this proposal was rejected by AC Milan who considered Kessie to be worth much more than Gagliardini.

In the summer of 2017 AC Milan spent a hefty figure of 32 million euros to sign Kessie from Atalanta. Despite his ups and downs, Franck has been a regular starter under every coach. Considering the fact that the 23-year-old is a type of midfielder that future Rossoneri coach prefers, Inter’s approach will surely have the same answer as in Janaury.
