Gattuso: “Milan, big team mentality. Renewal? I will not sign”

Yesterday’s victory at the Olimpico is totally Gennaro Gattuso’s credit: intelligent, gritty, humble and even with a bit of nervousness in that ‘exchange’ with Kolarov.

His creature now speeds like a train, AC Milan has a great team attitude and recent victories against Lazio, Sampdoria and Roma prove it. Yesterday after the match Gattuso spared no praise for his players:

The difference with the past is the mentality, the desire and knowledge how to suffer together as a great team. Lately we have improved in positioning on the pitch and attack timing, we like to bring many men in the opposing area with and without the ball. And even in defense we are showing that we are performing well. A beautiful relationship has been born between me and these guys. But now we have to keep our feet on the ground, we will think about the derby only after Lazio“.

Now, anyone can say that Gattuso deserves the renewal and confirmation as coach of AC Milan for many years, but as reported by La Gazzetta dello Sport the first to think otherwise is precisely him:

“This is a topic for the management, certainly if they ask me now I will not sign for good luck, but the priority is to stay here. The credit goes to Mirabelli, Fassone, David Li and Mr. Li. They believed in me. Tomorrow I will take a closer look at the data, to understand how the players are“.

For coach Gattuso matters only the pitch and the final result, nothing else is important.
