Gazzetta: Roma 0-2 Milan, player ratings

An excellent win. AC Milan gave another fantastic display and completed another clean sheet in Rome, winning their fifth match in a row and sixth in their last seven Serie A games.

A tremendous performance without smudges. It is hard to imagine being able to criticize the work of any AC Milan player seen last night at the Olimpico. The difference in rankings between the two teams was canceled by an absolutely convincing and cunning performance by Gennaro Gattuso’s team. Milan waited, closed the gates and then hit with their best men. No flops of course in a magical night like yesterday.

Very high ratings assigned by La Gazzetta dello Sport to all AC Milan players. Many deserved 7.5’s by the best on the pitch: Calabria is perfect between defensive work and winning blitz in attack, Romagnoli (Man of the Match) a wall, Kessie a fury in midfield that cancels Nainggolan and company. Good also the rest of the defense and a honorable mention for the 7 assigned to Kalinic, who enters the match in the second half and provides a perfect assist for the Rossoneri’s second goal.

Impossible to talk about flops among the Rossoneri yesterday, but players like Gigio Donnarumma, not bothered for the majority of the game but disappointing in a couple of situations with the ball in his feet and Bonaventura not at his beast but always indispensable, even when he does not shine, deserve “only” 6.5.
