Gattuso rewards Milan players after Roma win

AC Milan’s successful endeavor against Roma and the tireless efforts of the players have not gone unnoticed to coach Gennaro Gattuso.

European championships will stop for the next two weeks due to international commitments. Roberto Mancini’s Italy will be busy facing Poland and Portugal in Nations League and the Azzurri coach has call up 4 Rossoneri players for this encounters. Gigio Donnarumma, Caldara, Romagnoli and Bonaventura will try to impress the new coach.

For AC Milan, the international break has already begun immediately after the match against Roma on Friday evening. A last minute victory, essential to boost the morale of the team and allow them to face with more serenity the next rounds of Serie A. Meanwhile, reports Tuttosport, Gennaro Gattuso has decided to give three and a half days of rest to his boys. The training will resume on Tuesday afternoon at 17:30.

The internationals will be absent in this week’s training sessions, as well as the next one. Ten Rossoneri stars will be in international duty these days. With so many important absences it will not be easy for Gattuso to prepare the upcoming difficult match against Cagliari scheduled for 15 September. With the match against the Rossoblu starts an intensive period for AC Milan, between Serie A and Europa League. The Red and Blacks will play every 3-4 days until the next stop, scheduled for mid-October.

That’s why now the last purchases of AC Milan will be very useful. Players like Diego Laxalt, Samu Castillejo, Tiemoue Bakatoko, Mattia Caldara and Pepe Reina (who will debut in Europa League against Dudelange on 20 September) will certainly find more space in the next few games. Managing forces well will be one of Gattuso’s priorities. Now, compared to last season, Rino can count on a bigger bench and more alternatives.
