Gazzetta: Milan striker, new updates on Higuain and Morata

Elliot wants to keep the biggest promise of the old ownership and intends to sign a top striker that can guarantee AC Milan at least 20 goals per season.

AC Milan’s search for a top striker able to ensure a significant number of goals could have reached a turning point. With Chelsea being oriented to keep Alvaro Morata, the Rossoneri seem to be now closer to Gonzalo Higuain, the Argentine striker must leave Juventus after the arrival of Cristiano Ronaldo. La Gazzetta dello Sport explains that now the Red and Blacks are in pole position for the El Pipita.

If on one hand there seem to be no problems to meet the demands of the former Real Madrid, who asks for 7 million euros per season, on the other it will be more difficult to find an agreement with Juventus about the price tag. The Bianconeri in fact ask for 60 million and are willing to try to include Leonardo Bonucci in the negotiation, but the Rossoneri insist on exchanging the captain with Mattia Caldara.

Leonardo, who will be officially presented this afternoon as the new Rossoneri technical director, is working to give Gattuso the much sought after great striker and today in Lega a new meeting is scheduled between the parties. The Milan-Turin axis continues to be very hot and in the next few days a fruitful conclusion is expected with Higuain becoming a new Milan player.
