Gazzetta: Szoboszlai to reject Real Madrid for AC Milan

Red Bull Salzburg attacking midfielder Dominik Szoboszlai will rejects offers from Real Madrid in order to join AC Milan.

La Gazzetta dello Sport reports that the Rossoneri are preparing an explosive mercato. The main objective of the club is a central defender but at the same time AC Milan are negotiating the signing of a new attacking midfielder. Hakan Calhanoglu’s renewal looks unlikely for now and AC Milan are eying a move for Dominik Szoboszlai.

The Hungarian talent has been in the Rossoneri’s orbit for more than a year and he was very close to joining AC Milan twice in the past. Talks have never stopped and Paolo Maldini is in continuous contacts with his agent.

Dominik Szoboszlai has a release clause of 25 million euros, with particular details regarding the payment. The entire transfer fee must be paid in a single payment and Red Bull Salzburg automatically get 20% of future sale based on total fee, not profit.

Big clubs like Bayern Munich, Red Bull Leipzig, Real Madrid and Atletico Madrid are all interested in the 20-year-old attacking midfielder. RB Leipzig and Real Madrid have made concrete steps to sign Szoboszlai but the player is ready to reject their offers in order to join AC Milan reports Gazzetta.

Despite offers from clubs playing in Champions League, the Hungarian seems to prefer the Red and Black colors. In that case the departure of Hakan Calhanoglu would be guaranteed, either in January or at the end of the season for free.
