Sky: Calhanoglu injured in Cagliari-Milan

If his bad performance wasn’t enough Hakan Calhanoglu has broken a finger in Cagliari-Milan ended in a disappointing 1-1 draw.

It was not a brilliant performance that of AC Milan yesterday against Cagliari. At the Sardegna Arena, the Rossoneri earned only one point thanks to Gonzalo Higuain’s goal, his first with the Rossoneri. Another AC Milan star instead, Hakan Calhanoglu, was missing yesterday.

If it hadn’t been for the Argentine the Red and Black could have left Sardinia empty-handed. The Turkish left winger, who had done so well against Roma, was totally anonymous. Calhanoglu was replaced in the second half by Samu Castillejo, who did not have the same impact on the match as he had in the last game but still did well in those 17 minutes.

Calhanoglu was replaced because he was out of the game. But probably also because of a hand injury. Sky Sports reports that the former Bayer Leverkusen has broken a finger. Soon he will undergo medical exams to understand whether surgery is needed on not. In any case, it is not an injury that calls into question his presence in the Europa League opening on Thursday against Dudelange in Luxembourg.
