Injury update on Tomori, Rebic and Ibra ahead of Lazio game

After the derby victory, AC Milan must turn their attention on the Copa Italia with Rebic and Tomori set to return.

With the derby victory now archived, the Rossoneri must turn their attention on the Coppa Italia quarter-final. AC Milan will host Lazio at San Siro on Wednesday, at 21:00 CET. The winner will face one between Inter or Roma in the next stage.

The Biancocelesti arrive in the Coppa Italia match on good mood too after 3-0 success over Fiorentina. Coach Maurizio Sarri has traditionally been a problematic opponent for the Rossoneri. Thankfully, Stefano Pioli could have a couple of players under his orders just in time for the match.

Tuttosport reports that Fikayo Tomori will resume regular training starting tomorrow. The English centre back has been out of action since January after a meniscus injury. The former Chelsea seems to have fully recovered and may probably start from the first minute against Lazio.

Positive news also for Ante Rebic. The Croatian winger was supposed to play in the derby but he suffered an ankle injury. His situation is improving day by day and the 28-year-old should be under Pioli’s orders for Milan vs Lazio.

However, the return of Zlatan Ibrahimovic seems unlikely. Ibra has been out since the league match against Juventus. The Swedish striker still feels pain on his Achilles tendon reports Tuttosport. He could recover for the upcoming league match with Sampdoria. Nevertheless, Giroud is ready to lead the attack once again.
