Lazio propose player exchange with Milan

We are still in the early days of the January but AC Milan are one of the most active clubs in the mercato, especially in the defensive department.

Incredible market backstory revealed this morning by Il Messaggero. According to the Roman newspaper, Lazio wanted to start a player exchange with AC Milan. Offering Stefan De Vrij to the Rossoneri and asking Alessio Romagnoli in exchange. But such a negotiation failed because the Dutch centre back rejected the red and blacks destination and the operation between the two clubs stopped already in its first stage.

Stefan De Vri’s contract with Lazio expires at the end of this season and the player is free to join a new club for free in the summer. On the other side, the Rossoneri’s centre back Alessio Romagnoli is a fan of Lazio since his early childhood. It’s still unclear what was the position of AC Milan on such a proposal considering that Romagnoli is a promising defender with a huge margin of improvement.
