The Rossoneri new signing Mattia Caldara has just arrived in Milan. The young Italian defender was exchanged on par with former captain Leonardo Bonucci with both defenders being valued at around 40 million euros.

Here are the first words of Mattia Caldara shortly after having landed at the Malpensa airport directly from the United States: “I’m happy to be here. I’ve already talked to Gattuso and some of my former friends at Atalanta. Shirt number? I still have to think about it. Defensive couple with Romagnoli? It will be exciting“.

Gonzalo Higuain arrived at the Westin Palace in Milano. The Argentine striker spoke to the reporters who were present there: “Well, well, tomorrow, the visits and I hope to sign. How far can Milan go? We hope as far as possible, after the visits I will say what I feel, I have already spoken with Gattuso“. 

Il Corriere della Sera reveals today that the 30 year old striker will earn 7,5 million euros in his first season at AC Milan while in the following seasons he will earn 9 million. A considerable increase from the 7,5 million euros per season he earned from his contract at Juventus. CorSera also reveals that Juventus paid Higuain a fee of 1 million euros so he could join Milan.
