Milan prioritize Real Madrid star as Ibrahimovic alternative

With Zlatan Ibrahimovic seemingly away from AC Milan, Boban and Maldini have turned their attention to other strikers.

Zlatan Ibrahimovic is further away from AC Milan. According to many indications there won’t be a second return of the giant Swede at the San Siro and the Rossoneri are already on the move to find his replacement.

With Piatek and Rafael Leao failing to find the back on the net with regularity, Milan are forced to intervene on the January transfer window and have turned their attention on Real Madrid striker Luka Jovic.

The 21-year-old Serbian centre forward joined Real Madrid this summer for a record fee of €60 million from Eintracht Frankfurt. Nevertheless he has failed to make an impact at the Bernabeu and is open to a January move on loan.

Jovic has made 10 La Liga starts so far and 3 in Champions League, mostly as a substitute, scoring just one goal. A disappointing number for the former Eintracht Frankfurt who scored 27 goals last season.

According to reports Maldini and Boban are in contact with Jovic’s agent Fali Ramadani regarding a loan move for the remaining of the season. Chelsea striker Olivier Giroud and Argentine youngster Adolfo Gaich are the two other names on AC Milan’s radar.
