Serie A fixture changes confirmed

After coming back from a 3-day rest with a double training session on Thursday, the Red and Blacks underwent a new full-day work at Milanello this Friday. The squad is incomplete as 12 players are away on international duty and others are recovering from injuries; however, the ones available have already started preparations ahead of the away match next week against Napoli. 

At the same time Lega Calcio has announced the dates and times of the Serie A matches from week 18 through week 21, on 21st January 2018. The Italian top-flight won’t take a break during Christmas holidays with the Rossoneri ready to take on Atalanta on Saturday 23 December at 18:00 CET. An important meeting for Montella’s boys ready for an intense week as they travel to Florence on Saturday 30th December for the mid-day match against Stefano Pioli’s Fiorentina. 

Whereas, on 6th January (Epiphany in Italy), San Siro will host Crotone in the first match of the second part of the season. Followed by a two-week winter break, the Red and Blacks will be back in Serie A on Sunday 21st January for the away match in Sardinia against Cagliari (kick-off at 18:00 CET).
