Musacchio injury – Official statement from the club

Troubling news arrives from Milanello. The club through an official statement confirm Mateo Musacchio’s injury. The defender is in serious risk of missing the derby.

After the rest conceded by coach Vincenzo Montella, Milanello Sports Centre saw the Red and Blacks completing a double training session for the second day in a row.

In the morning session, the boys started the warm-up before splitting into groups to focus on specific tactics, the goalkeepers on their own aside from the rest of the players. Later on, the afternoon session started with an exercise based on ball possession, followed by drills on, both, the defensive and offensive phase. Then, the boys played a practice match and called it a day after undergoing athletic work completing a series of sprint-runs.

Giacomo Bonaventura did not take part in the morning session due to flu. On the other hand, Mateo Musacchio took a precautionary rest due to muscle fatigue. Lastly, Luca Antonelli, who was recovering from a flexor muscle strain, had to stop during the afternoon training due to left calf muscle fatigue.
