OFFICIAL – AC Milan announce second sale after Bonucci

After having announced the signing of the two Juventus stars now AC Milan are back on the transfer market but this time to sell.

Leonardo is not losing any time. After securing the services of Gonzalo Higuain and Mattia Caldara and having offloaded former captain Leonardo Bonucci the new technical director has just closed the second sale.

The 25 year old centre back Gustavo Gomez moves to Palmeiras. The Paraguayan leaves AC Milan on loan for 1.5 million euros with the obligation to buy for an additional 4,5 million bringing his total cost to 6 million euros. Not bad for a player who had featured only once in Serie A during the last season.

Gustavo Gomez arrived at San Siro two years ago for 8,5 million euros from Lanus. He failed to secure a starting spot under coach Montella and even with Gattuso he was rarely seen on the pitch. Massimiliano Mirabelli tried to sell Gomez to Boca Juniors last January but the parties failed to reach an agreement. Now the Brazilian director will begin the search for a new defender.
