Will Zvonimir Boban return to AC Milan

AC Milan chief football officer Zvonimir Boban was sacked by the club because of his disapproval for Ralf Rangnick.

The announcement that Ralf Ragnick would not become the next coach of AC Milan was truly stunning especially considering that the parties had reached an agreement six months ago and transfer plans were daily discussed between the German and Ivan Gazidis.

At that time chaos erupted at Milanello with Zvonimir Boban openly slamming the actions of Gazidis who behind their back had held talks with Rangnick. Days later AC Milan sacked Boban. What happens now?

There will be no comeback at AC Milan for Zvonimir Boban. The Croatian will not return to work at the Rossoneri club despite what happened with Ralf Rangnick reports Tuttosport.

The farewell of Boban, who was chosen by Paolo Maldini last summer, was totally related to the German coach with the Croatian former midfielder insisting that the coach was to be chosen only by him and Maldini.

Zvonimir Boban has since sued AC Milan club for unfair dismissal and trial is expected to begin shortly.
