AC Milan’s 4 transfer priorities

AC Milan have prioritized the signing four new players in the summer with new arrival expected in every department.

AC Milan ended Serie A in sixth place after a stunning post-lockdown campaign leaded by in-form Zlatan Ibrahimovic. The Swedish striker scored 10 goals and assisted 5 in 18 appearances. Now it’s time for the management to do the talk and Paolo Maldini has four priorities on the transfer market.

Special attention will be paid to the defence. With Davide Calabria set to leave, and Andrea Conti unconvincing this season, the Rossoneri must purchase a top right back. The plan is to find a new Theo Hernadnez for the opposite flank. The two candidates are Emerson Royal of Barcelona and PSV’s Denzel Dumfires reports MilanNews.it.

AC Milan must also find a new centre back. Romagnoli and Kjaer are expected to be the leading duo for next season but the club wants to bring a new centre back. The ideal candidate would be a young player with great potential that can break into the first team gradually. Various names have been liked but there’s not front runner yet.

Important changes are expected in midfield. With Lucas Biglia and Giacomo Bonaventura both leaving AC Milan are looking for a top player. The ideal profile is a defensive midfielder. Sando Tonali, Tiemoue Bakayoko, Florentino Luis, Marc Roca are just some of the names AC Milan have targeted.

With Zlatan Ibrahimovic set to extend his stay for at least another year, Milan have shifted their focus to a new winger. Stefano Pioli has asked Ivan Gazidis to try and sign Federico Chiesa but Firoentina rate him at 70 million even though the inclusion of Lucas Paqueta in talks could lower the price. Chiesa or not, Milan have prioritized the signing of a new winger. According to some reports, Maldini will have 75 million euros to spend tin the summer plus a percentage of all sales.
