Agent offers former striker back to AC Milan

Agent Giuseppe Riso has offered AC Milan the opportunity to sign back former Rossoneri striker Andrea Petagna.

MILAN TRANSFER NEWS – Giuseppe Riso is now a regular guest at the Casa Milan offices. The Italian agent, who along with his collaborator Serginho took care of the transfer Leo Duarte from Flamengo, met again with Paolo Maldini and sporting director Frederic Massara. Now he’s pushing for the arrival of Andrea Petagna at San Siro.

Many hypothesized a possible opening for Pietro Pellegri, whom AC Milan asked in exchange for Andre Silva to Monaco. The French club, however, are only willing to let him go on loan, a formula that clearly does not convince the Rossoneri club. There are no updates on this front and Riso was at Casa Milan to talk about Petagna instead.

According to Tuttomercatoweb, Giuseppe Riso proposed AC Milan to sign back Andrea Petagna, fresh from an excellent season at Spal. The 24-year-old Italian centre forward is a product of the Rossoneri’s youth ranks and made 4 appearances with AC Milan during 2013-14. He was loaned to many teams latter and in 2016 AC Milan sold him to Atalanta for just €1 million.

Nevertheless, Petagna is not a target of AC Milan and the club has rejected Riso’s proposal despite the talented striker scoring 16 goals in Serie A last season. AC Milan are currently looking for a second striker not a centre forward. Plus Spal value the former Milan at 25 million.

Krzysztof Piatek will lead AC Milan’s attack again this season and there is no sense investing that much for another forward despite the obvious qualities of Petagna. The Rossoneri are in search of a profile with very different characteristics and have prioritized the signing  of Angel Correa from Atletico Madrid.
