AC Milan chasing Dutch international goalkeeper

With Marco Storari expected to retire at the end of the season and Antonio Donnarumma not convincing enough AC Milan are in need of an experienced vice-Gigio.

According to the recent mercato news by Calciomercato.com, AC Milan have inquired about the availability of Tim Krul. The 29 year old (30 years old in April) Dutch goalkeeper plays in Premier League with Brighton. His contract expires on 30 June 2018, so there is the possibility to sign the experienced keeper on a free transfer.

Krul, a former Newcastle and Netherlands international, is being considered for the role of second goalkeeper at AC Milan. He has a troubling history injuries in recent years, particularly when he was at Newcastle United, he broke the cruciate ligament that kept him out for a long time. An injury that blocked his ascent, since his name was associated with big clubs at the time.

He was loaned to Ajax and AZ Alkmaar, returning to his homeland to try and settle down and and relaunch his career. Last summer he signed with Brighton, after the termination of the contract with Newcastle but failed to secure a starter place playing only 6 games this season.
