Fabregas, huge assist for Milan

AC Milan have received a great push in their pursuit of Cesc Fabregas. The Spanish midfielder is about to terminate his contract with Chelsea and will be available for free.

At a very difficult time for AC Milan as assist is coming from England. According to Spanish daily Marca, Cesc Fabregas is very close to terminating his contract with Chelsea. The parties have reached an agreement and everything could become official in the next few days.

Starting from January the 31 year old central midfielder will be able to join any team he wants for free. Great news for any club interested in Fabregas especially for AC Milan who desperately need a top level signing in that position. Lucas Biglia should return in late January while Giacomo Bonaventura will stay out for the remaining of the season.

AC Milan and Chelsea have been in contacts often lately. The parties are negotiating for several names but the Spaniard has always been an important topic of conversation with the London side demanding 12 million euros to let him join Milan.

Fabregas may soon be free to chose his next team but the Rossoneri must beware from the competition of Monaco. The French club are battling with relegation this season but they can offer a bigger paycheck to Cesc. However, considering prestige and perspective, there is no comparison between Milan and Monaco. It depends only on what the player intends to do in the reaming years of his career.
