Jorge Mendes offers Monaco midfielder to Milan
Despite the difficult situation of Andre Silva at AC Milan, his agent, Jorge Mendes continues to offer many of his players to the Rosoneri.
According to reports by Rai Sport, the powerful agent has offered Joao Moutinho to the Rossoneri. The 31 year old Portuguese midfielder plays for Monaco and has a contract expiring in June 2018. He can therefore be signed on a free transfer.
The former player of Sporting Lisbon and Porto this season has collected 32 appearances so far, scoring once and providing six assists. He is no longer very young but physically he is proving to be ready and it is no coincidence that coach Jardim considers him a regular starter. Moutinho is a technical midfielder, able to give quality to the maneuver. He can play both central and deep-lying. With his experience he can represent an added value for many teams.
At Milan, one like the Portuguese could be useful, considering that the operation would require only the payment of the player’s salary. Obviously it will be necessary to see what will be contractual claims of Jorge Mendes for the player and the duration of the agreement. Currently Moutinho receives about 4.2 million euros per year and probably will look for a new contract with similar figures.
