Only one AC Milan player is 100% sure to leave this summer
From Donnarumma to Kessie, many AC Milan players are being touted as sure departures this summer but there is only one player whose sale is 100% guaranteed.
AC Milan are bracing themselves for another summer of drastic changes. For the first time, AC Milan’s summer transfer business will be conduced by club legends Paolo Maldini and Zvonimir Boban. So far the Rossoneri have signed Rade Krunic, Theo Hernandez and Ismael Bennacer. Now it’s time to think about sales.
Like every summer recently, the future of Gianluigi Donnarumma dominates the newspaper headlines. Despite interested from PSG and Manchester Untied, AC Milan have decided to keep Gigio and sell him only in case of a very tempting offer that must exceed considerably his alleged 50 million euros price tag. Same situation for Kessie and Suso.
But there is one player whose sale is sure this summer and that player is Ricardo Rodriguez. The 26-year-old full-back is not part of Marco Giampaolo’s technical plans and is on the market.
Theo Hernandez becomes AC Milan fourth left-back in the squad and, after spending €20 million for his services, the former Real Madrid will be the regular starter on the left. Diego Laxalt and Strinic will likely follow Rodriguez out of Milan but the Rossoneri are currently in negotiations only for the Swiss international.
Ricardo Rodriguez has many offers but the player himself would prefer a transfer to the Premier League. AC Milan and Everton are in advanced negotiations with Arsenal and Manchester also interested in him. AC Milan signed Rodriguez for 15 million euros from Wolfsburg two years ago and value him at least 20 million now.
Ricardo Rodriguez has always been a reliable player but his contribution has never been enough in the eyes of the fans or the Milan management. After 87 appearances and 4 goals with the Rossoneri his career has come to an end .
